We aren't having a traditional wedding (so no strapless white meringue dress or

matching bridesmaids) therefore we felt we needed something a little bit

cooler for our wedding invites.

We had perviously sent out some save the date postcards which the cost came

in around at 62p each included stamp and envelope. From moo.co.uk

So with cost firmly in our minds we decided to go for postcards. With a little inspiration from google some imagination and the help of photoshop, our local printers and moo.co.uk we managed to pull together some very cost effective invitations.

The Victoria and Albert Museum has teamed up

with the famous high street store'Coast' to create

a capsule line of six amazing dresses.

This fabulous amethyst grey organza ruffle

dress has to be our favourite piece! 

The collection has been inspired by last year's Ballgowns:

British Glamour Since 1950 exhibition.

The brand used the museum's rich archives to create styles that exude

the glamour of the past 100 years - and enlisted Suki Waterhouse 

to model the gowns.

"The designs truly reflect the allure of ballgowns and grand

occasionwear evoking the glamour and splendour of their inspiration,"

said V&A business development and licensing director Lauren Sizeland.

"These gowns will give the opportunity for customers to indulge in a

little piece of fashion history."

The range - which lands in stores today - features both floor and

knee-length styles, some bearing cascades of tiered chiffon, others

with sheer panelling and jewelled detailing.

Each has a vintage feel - whether sleek and Art Deco-inspired or

Fifties prom dress style. Prices start at £550.

"The V&A collection seemed like the perfect collaboration for both Coast

and the V&A," said Coast head of design Kim Elliot. "Inspiration for this

fabulous collection of dresses came from vintage dresses, beautiful

and iconic fashion photography images and delving into the drawers

of fashion history to recreate and bring to life this collection of

contemporary ballgowns."

The collection will retail from $29 to $89.

The collections advertising campaign will feature iconic images of the

legendary starlet herself alongside new clothing.

The Marilyn Monroe collection is one of 13 new brands the

department store is rolling out.

So with wedding season soon to be upon us its time to think about who

will be your bridesmaids (if you are planning on having any at all)

So Last October one of my best gal pals got engaged and I had the

honour of being asked to be bridesmaid.

This is the most fabulous gift I was given...

She really does know us too well.....

So now that I too needed to ask my gal pals to be bridesmaids

I was a little stuck for ideas?

Moi and my best gal pals got dressed up and danced the night away, while drinking cocktails from tea cups and having a jolly well good time. 

I was hoping to channel my inner keira knightley....

I opted for a green maxi dress from Topshop.... teamed with some 1940's silver ballroom dance shoes, a 1920's black sequin embellished cape that I found at my great aunties house and a gold chain-mail handbag. 

There was fur, feathers, DIAMONDS & more diamonds.....

The 1920's parties are held in London every month tickets are around £20.00

UNDER THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE, TOPPED OFF WITH A FABULOUS

MOST SPLENDID FIREWORKS ON DISPLAY

Our shopping spree started in the area of

‘Haight’ and literally every shop

we went into we came out with bags

filled to the brim of vintage goods.

After a long day of shopping we headed to the ‘Bourban and Branch’

cocktail club, a speakeasy 1920s prohibition style club,

where we had to quote a secret pass code in order to get in.

There was no photography allowed….

All I can say is the cocktails were super super strong!

The following morning we then headed over to the famous landmark

‘The golden gate bridge’ which I cycled over….

whilst of course wearing my Vivienne Westwood

gold ballroom style heels!

After all that shopping and cycling we headed to ‘Brenda’s soul food’

a french New Orleans style restaurants

where the food was amazing….

and the highlight was their famous Beignet’s….

We the continued on our vintage shopping trip in the

‘Mission’ district where again

we found many more fabulous finds!

We then headed over to the stunning Japanese gardens

based in the

‘Golden gate bridge park’...

After all that shopping we travelled to Napa Valley

to the small town of Yountville,

where we drank lots of wine and I discovered

Im a Pinot noir girl!

My favourite wine came from

‘Hope and Grace’

a family run vineyard in Napa it really was amazing!

Edinburgh did not disappoint!

Our First stop was Holyrood Palace...
